Independent since 2021. Honest about specs.
The Reusable Edit is a small independent editorial guide to reusable products and sustainable living. We cover reusables of every kind — drinkware, kitchen and lunchware, coffee and tea gear, reusable pods, tote and produce bags, bathroom and personal care, home cleaning, and wellness gear.
We started in 2021 after getting tired of buying "sustainable" products that broke, leaked, or ended up in the drawer. Every product we cover is scored against the same 1–100 criteria, regardless of brand or relationship, and we say when a brand wins and when it doesn't.
How we make money
We may earn a small affiliate commission when you buy a product through an outbound link. No brand pays for coverage. No brand approves what we write. We do not accept sponsored posts, gifted-in-exchange-for-review arrangements, or paid placement in our buying guides. Opinions here are our own.
How we score products
Every product carries a 1–100 sustainability score, weighted across five factors: material recyclability, recycled content, repairability (whether replaceable parts exist), independent certifications, and warranty length. It is not a black box — the specs on each product page are the score.

Frequently asked
- Is The Reusable Edit independent?
- Yes. The Reusable Edit is fan-founded and independent. We may earn a small affiliate commission if you buy through an outbound link, but no brand pays for coverage or approves what we write. Opinions here are our own.
- Why is Fressko featured so prominently?
- Our founder is a genuine long-term Fressko customer and superfan. We cover many sustainable-drinkware brands with the same honesty, but Fressko gets its own brand spotlight because it is what she personally uses daily.
- Do you accept sponsored content?
- No. We do not accept sponsored posts, paid product reviews, or gifted-in-exchange-for-coverage arrangements. Affiliate commissions from outbound purchase links are our only revenue.
- How is the sustainability score calculated?
- It is a 1–100 score weighted across five factors: material recyclability, recycled content, repairability (replaceable parts), independent certifications, and warranty length. Every product page shows the score and links to the factors that drove it.
- Where are your product specs sourced?
- From manufacturer product pages, published test results, and independent lab data where available. We verify weight, capacity, and warranty claims in-hand where we own the product.
- How often is the product database updated?
- Product records are reviewed at least every six months, or immediately when a manufacturer changes a spec, warranty, or certification.
