Fressko Flask 500ml review: the insulated bottle that punches above its weight

Quick answer

The Fressko Flask 500ml is our current recommendation for anyone who wants one bottle that does hot tea in the morning, ice water at lunch and cold-brew coffee at 3pm. It uses the same twist-off system as the Bino, with a food-grade strainer that clips into the lid for loose-leaf tea or fruit infusions.

Retention numbers (our tests, 22°C room)

  • Hot: 96°C water → 78°C at 6 hours, 62°C at 12 hours
  • Cold: 4°C water → 8°C at 12 hours

Those are within 1-2°C of Yeti and Hydro Flask numbers we ran on the same day.

Where it wins

  • The strainer basket is the trick. It genuinely turns one bottle into a tea flask, a cold-brew maker and a fruit infuser.
  • The wide mouth actually fits ice cubes.
  • The stainless finish does not chip when it inevitably falls off a desk.

Where it does not win

It is not a sip-lid bottle. You unscrew to drink. If you want a straw-lid sports bottle, look at the Fressko Move 660ml instead.

Verdict

9.3/10. The most versatile piece in the Fressko range and the bottle we recommend for gifting.

Frequently asked

Can you put fizzy drinks in it?
Fressko does not recommend it — carbonation pressure can affect the seal and lining. Stick to still liquids.
