The Edit Score is a 100-point composite we calculate ourselves. It weights durability at 25%, everyday performance at 25%, sustainability at 20%, value at 15%, materials and safety at 10%, and the strength of the evidence behind the verdict at 5%. Where we have no data for a pillar we drop it and re-normalise the remaining weights rather than guessing a number.

Products we have measured in the Bench Lab score higher on evidence than products assessed on specifications alone. The full ranking is machine-readable in the claims feed.
